"The proliferation of sedation procedures being done in the outpatient setting along with the need for safe affordable and efficient care is what prompted us to create this offering " states Randy Pigg CEO of Conscious Sedation Consulting a St. Louis, MO based company that offers continuing education training and consulting on the administration of sedation, ACLS and airway management. Pigg went on to say " quality evidence based continuing education online, just makes sense, an increasing number of medical boards and most dental boards require providers to have continuing education on sedation administration if they are going to offer procedural sedation in the outpatient setting, who better to provide this continuing education than anesthesiologists."
Courses will also be available for institutional licensing as a mechanism to credential staff on sedation administration.
