Sleeve gastrectomy surgery is one of the most popular and effective surgical treatment obesity that helps to reduce weight by controlling the patient’s food intake. Through this surgical weight-loss procedure the stomach size is reduced to make it much smaller than it's original size. In the case of Sleeve Gastrectomy – single-incision technique, a large portion of the stomach (about 90%) is removed along with the greater curvature by gastrectomy. As a result, the structure of the stomach changes into a sleeve or thin and slender tube-like structure. This gastric sleeve procedure is generally performed by laparoscopic surgery, which offers faster recovery and shorter hospital stay.
